Hi Richard,

Thanks for the note. We have Pledge's mother and father. Cecily Reynolds(1741) of Cumberland and John Palmore of same
They were married in Cumberland Co 1n 1756. Pledge Palmore married Sally Hansard (Hansford) and we have pretty good
documentation on our line from there. It would be great if we could find the source of the name as it is an unusual given name and kinda cool. If I had had a son, I was going to name him after old Pledge. There a couple of great guys over there in Virginia working on some common lines and they have given me lots of info on others in my line. I can put u in touch with them via email if you wish. I had a converstion quite by accident last year with a lady in the Southern States Home Office there in Richmond. Seems when I mentioned my name she was quick to tell me that she was a Palmore prior to marriage and off I go on another tangent. It never ends does it? But there is Palmore Plantation and a large Road there in Richmond named Palmore Pike. Keep in touch if you run in to the source of the name. We might be cousins.

Reg
