Palmore marries a Cox?

Hello Palmore researchers,

I'm grasping at straws here, but you never know...

I have a Permenus Palmore Cox born 2/9/1805 in KY married to Aurora B. Appleton. I suspect Permenus' middle name is his mother's maiden for obvious reasons. I also have reason to believe, although no proof, that his father's name was Samuel Cox. Based on the names of female children I see in this Permenus's family and his siblings (I think), the mystery Palmore woman's name may have been Amanda (Amy), Mary or Elizabeth.

So do any of you Palmore researchers have record of a Palmore woman marrying a Samuel Cox? I am guessing that she would have been born in the 1770-1780 timeframe. The area of the country I'm looking at is KY-TN-AL-NC-SC, but I don't know for a fact that's where she'd have been from.

Thanks!

Jane Gilbert
