Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Benjamin Palmore married Elizabeth Anne Montague. I have no date. They had seven sons and two daughters. In the 1810 Buckingham Census (the pre-Powhatan years), they had four children under ten years of age. Their children were: John R., William G., Miletus B., Benjamin H., Francis A., Sarah J., Joseph M., Robert H., Thomas F. (Tom). After relocating to Powhatan Co., Benjamin, Sr. had a plantation at Scotts Hill, locatable on the 1880 LaPrade Survey Map of Powhatan County. He had 2000 acres of land at the time of his death. Benjamin, Sr.'s second wife, who outlived him, was Judith Carter, 20 years his junior. Judith had previously been married to Benjamin's brother, William. I can snail mail all of this stuff, plus the Will of Benjamin Palmore (obtained from the Powhatan Co, courthouse) if you would like. Email me directly.
