Mack I understand what you are saying about Palmore/Palmer. I to am researching these names, and my William had a son named John born in SC in 1829, but my John married a lady named Nancy, and had a son named William and a son named James! They went from Palmore to Palmer so I do understand how hard it is to trace these names ! It's confuseing !
