Hi Tamara-Lynn
If you think there's a lot in North America, check the Stockholm phone book! At least a page and a half, spelled Palmquist, Palmkvist and Palmqvist. The village of Häggsjövik in Hotagen, Jämtland is full of us too (thanks to my dad).

Anyway, I know of at least two Palmquists in the Winnipeg area that are not related to me - drop me a line and I'll tell you how to contact them.

My dad was Nils Julius Palmqvist, born Njurunda Sweden in 1900. His dad was Edvard Jansson Palmqvist, born in Gräsmark. Edvard had a brother who stayed in Sweden, and several sisters, at least two of whom came to North America, settling near Thunder Bay Ontario and in northern Minnesota.

Let me know if we have a family connection.
