This information I got from a distant relative several years ago who lives in Shippensburg, PA. Her name is Barbara Small and here are her notes:
While Mamma lived in Washington DC she met a Faye Paulsgrove. After tracing back their family trees it is like this: William and Rudy had a brother Charles who lived in Mercersburg, PA. He was a son of William Pfatlzgraff. Chares P. married there, had a son named Andrew Jackson Palsgrove. Soon after they settled in Washington DC. Then Andrew Jackson Palsgrove married, thay had a son named Faye Paulsgrove. Mamma said to think after all these years I met a dear cousin. Since then he paid us a visit at 329 King Street in 1944. What an enjoyable day. He looked much younger than his age of 72 years old. He was so tall, straight and slender. Last time he visited was in 1947, he was not very well. He died in February 1952 of a heart condition he had for years. He was a professional engraver for 41 years. He used free hand, stick pens, and old English script. He had married, their first son's name was Earl born in 1907. Faye told us he had brothers who lived in Washington DC and spell their names Polsgrove. Faye was a very intelligent, refined person and we all loved him. Written by Mary Marcella Von Lossberg Henry (a relative of Barbara Small)
There was a death notice of a Mrs. Alma Korner Palsgrove who lived at 4501 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA. She lived there for more than 70 years. Born in Frankfort German in 1869, she lived to be 100 years old. She was the wife of Faye Earl Palsgrove. They married in 1903. She was at one time aide to Herbert Hoover. She leave a son John Earl Palsgrove of 5617 Wilson Lane, Bethesda. John Earl is now deceased.
Now my notes:
We think that George and Mary Palsgrove had the following children: Barbara Small comes from one of the following children also.
William my direct relative
Rudolpus Tom Palsgrove direct relative
Polly who married a McGrath
Samuel who married a Susan
Elizabeth who married David Blair
It is possible that Rudy is Rudolphus and that your relative Charles is a relative to both Tom Palsgrove and me.
Please put a question to Tom Palsgrove in this site to see what he thinks. He is better qualified to get this straight than I am. I seem to have so many people and generations in my mind it all is beginning to go together since I'm working on both sides of my grandparents.
I do remember when my brother Fred moved to Washington DC about 1968 he was contacted by a Palsgrove who lived there and found Fred's phone number in the telephone directory. He was very pleasant but my brother didn't have any interest in family genelogy so he didn't persue the family connection. Which is to bad for us now. Fred was only about 19 at the time and he was going to school in the DC area.
