I believe that Franklin may have been enumerated in the 1850 census under the name "Pottsgrove."

Place enumerated:
West Penn, Carbon Co, PA on 15 Oct 1850

Household composition:

Jacob Pottsgrove, age 41, shoemaker, $500 value of real estate
Mary Pottsgrove, age 41
Henry, age 1 (Possible error with age - could be 21)
Franklin, age 19
Sarah, age 17
Mary, age 15
Lucy, age 13
Charles, age 10
William, age 7
Rebeca, age 4
Elysa, age 2
