I was trying to piece together how Sarah ended up in Tarrant County, TX when she was living with her mother in NJ in 1920.

I fould a death certificate in Tarrant County as follows:

Name: Annie Agnes Applegate
Death Date: 09 Jun 1946
Death Place: Tarrant, Texas
Gender: Female
Race: White
Death Age: 79 years 5 months 23 days
Estimated Birth Date:
Birth Date: 17 Dec 1866
Birthplace: Pennsylvania
Marital Status: Widowed
Spouse's Name:
Father's Name: Frank Palsgrove
Father's Birthplace: Pennsylvania
Mother's Name: Julia Reppert
Mother's Birthplace: Pennsylvania
Occupation: Housewife
Place of Residence: Handley, Tarrant, Texas
Cemetery: Rose Hill Burial Park
Burial Place: Fort Worth, Texas
Burial Date: 12 Jun 1946
Additional Relatives:
Film Number: 2218377
Digital Film Number: 4031958
Image Number: 2530
Reference Number: 28894

This is probably her sister Annie, age 13, in the 1880 census. The death certificate indicated Annie had been living in Tarrant County for 26 years.

Perhaps Sarah lived with her sister after her mother's death.
