Stephanie it is possible that the reference (ML)is to Molise, formerly a part of the province of Abruzzi. After the Second WW Molise was made a separate Province. My Grandfather Francesco came from Santa Maria Molise about 2 kilometers from St Angelo en Grotte. My Grandmother Rosa nee Ruberto was from St. Angelo. I am not sure exactly when Molise was Separated from Abruzzo. Could the reference be to the village of St. Angelo en Grotte in Molise?
