I am searching for family of my grandmother, maria assunta My grandmother, Maria Palumbo, came to the United States in 1913. She sailed on the S.S. Calabria leaving port of Naples, Capania, Italy on the 29 Apr 1913. She was living in Ogliastro, Italy and named Raffaele Corradino as her father-in-law. She traveled with two of her sister-in-laws, Maria Corradino and Angela Corradino and were traveling to meet her husband and two sisters brother, Michele (Michael) Corradino in Tyler, Pennsylvania.
Maria was born in Monte Ciccereli, Italy.
While on her travel to United States, she had her son Lazzaro either on ship or just before they left. Unsure of exact detail.
Michael went back to italy and left her here with 2 sons. Carmelo and Salvatore Corradino.
She remarried charles lopresti and lived in ohio and had 2 more children, john lopresti and phillipa lopresti.
she then moved to california and remarried after her husbands death, to vincent facchini.
If anyone knows or can help please e-mail me at portageegal@comcast.net
Thank you
jeanne
