According to my father, our family was from Palermo, Sicily. I believe my great-great-parents came to the United States and established themselves in Chicago, and then subsequently, to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. My grandfather's name was Michael Salvatore Palumbo. He passed away in December of 1973.
