Stephen PAMPLIN Jannings

I am researching Stephen PAMPLIN Jannings for my boyfriend.
Stephen was his gr-gr Grandfather on his Dad's side of the
family. Stephen, according to his death cert., was born in
England 4 July 1852. I have no idea when he came over or where he first settled. He married twice that we know of.
Molly or Mary Gambel, she was of Cherokee descent, around
1870. They had three children(according to the 1880 Census==they were living in Lake Twp. Cook Co. IL): Annie b.
1872 (TN); Charles, 1874(MO) and Henry, b. 1876(MO). Molly as she was known, was born in or around Bristol, Sullivan Co. TN. Not sure what happened to Molly and Annie after the
1880 Census as Stephen married in Aug. 1885 again, but in
St. Louis MO. He worked for a Railroad Co. as fireman/engineer. He died in 1912. Any help would be greatly
appreciated! Donna
