Rudy,
I descend from the "Panny/Panty" family of Hungary. Joseph and Pauline Panny/Panty immigrated from Hungary to America.
My grandmother Jerome Panty Clifton made some notes on her family.
Joseph Panty was born on 18 Nov 1862 in Szabolcs Megye Hungary.
Pauline Buckash was born 15 Mar 1868 in Zemplen Megye Hungary.
Joseph Panty and Pauline Buckash married in 1884 in Hungary.
They immigrated to America in 1888. Joseph was a miner by trade and the family moved about following the mining work.
The were in Cleveland, Ohio in 1888, Denver, Colorado in 1890, Wheeling, West Virginia in 1892, Whitewood, Canada in 1894, back to Cleveland Ohio in 1898, and finally settling in Blocton, Alabama in 1900 where Joseph worked the mines in Bibb and Tuscaloosa counties.
Could we possibly have a Panny/Panty connection?
