After thinking for a while about my first response I decided to review your question. I obviously had mis-read it. I thought that you were looking for a Joseph Steven Panus (WRONG) you wanted to know about a John Steven.

The Panus family that I'm working on was headed by John Felix Panus and his wife Elanor Stella Linowska. Both of their families were from the Plock area of Poland and the parish of Baranowa. John and Elanor had 6 children; 3 boys (John, Joseph, Chester) and 3 girls (Mary Rose, Pauline, and Sophie).

The information does include the names of most of their spouses (Chester never married). For John it says that he was the oldest child and that his wife's name was Dorothy. It would seem that we have a match.

Run this stuff by your grandmother to see if it looks familiar to her.
