My greatgreatgreatgrandmother was an Elizabeth Paramour who married a Richard Hobbs at St Peters on the Isle of Thanet in Kent early 1800's I notice that on my gggrandfathers birth certificate the name is spelt as Palmer the certificate was wrong, although I noticed on the microfitches a lot of crossover between the two names in that area combinations of both as well as either or in the same families just different spelling I guess.
I actually met a chap who was studying to make a career change when he left the Airforce and he told me that his family name of Paramour had been changed to Love by his original New Zealand ancestor as he didn't like the connotations it had so it just goes to show how sometimes these things come about. I notice a signature the same on this page so wondered if he descended from that line also.
