Dear John,
I just happened to go into this site tonight, just to see what was new.I am about to shut down my research on this family,as I have been working on it for 15 years. The last 5 have been spent in heavy
correspondence with members of the Parcel
family continent-wide.I am dumbfounded that the very first entry I saw was relating to our family history. The farthest back my notes go, with a lot of help from other's research, is beginning with John "the butcher" Botcher/Beecher of Huntingdon, England. The lineage is sketchy once it gets to Newtown, Queens, "of Maspeth Kills" NY.
There were two strains of the family in Newtown and no-one was completely clear on the lineage, because English/Dutch records were hard to decipher.Very often the sons, cousins and grandsons' names were the same. After reading all the information I was sent, I decided I would start our family line with the marriage of John Botcher to Judith (Ytie) Jans c 1658, and trace my family from there. By extensive notes sent to me, they had 4 children: Thomas b. 1653; John b. 1657; Catharine b. 1659; and William b. 1660.Our family decends through John.I have copious notes sent to me from various sources; I expect you may hear from them as well.If not, I could pass along their email addresses. Let me know if I can help further.Good luck! Sincerely, Jean.
