Your Carroll family peaked my curiosity. In my Carroll family research, I have a Mary M. Parchman, b. 22 Jul 1852 TX, d. 11 Jul 1931 Hopkins Co., TX, m. Lawrence Carroll, and a sister named Ona Parchman, b. 28 Feb 1857, d. 01 Apr 1933 Hopkins Co TX, m. Green H. Carroll, brother of Lawrence. Could this be the same Carroll family in Campbell, TX who has the bible you mentioned?

Other children I have listed as being children of a Sarah E. Lyster and (?) Parchman as follows:--- Henry Parchman, b. ca. 1854 TX, Josephine, b. ca. 1857 TX, and a Tyrone? Parchman, b. ca. 1860 TX. This information is from the 1870 Census of Hopkins Co., TX. Sarah Lyster was then married to Ferdinand Carroll.

Does any of this sound familiar to you??
