All of Aquilla's brothers and sisters with the exception of his sister Parmelia, are named in an Indenture Deed in Monroe, Co, MS, dated July 2, 1932. The Deed is attempting to settle the estate of Henry D. Parchman and names Aquilla as his brother and Mary as his mother.

As best as I can tell from the information that I have, Phillip is considered to be Aquilla's father based upon a combination of Philip's age, Philip being listed in Lawrence Co, TN Census of 1820 along with James who is listed in the deed as Aquilla's brother and the fact that a number of Aquilla's brothers and sisters were born in Lawrence Co.

Another item of interest is that Aquilla had a sister Elizabeth, whose second husband was Andrew Dilworth, a brother of Aquilla's wife Martha.
