Sally .. here we go again .. with Arcada's Surname.

Barbara S. Fisher wrote a reply to the original note in this string claiming her grandmother's name was not "Mary A." but rather "Mary Johnson", daughter of John J. and Dora Parchman.

My question is this, why would they name their daughter with the middle name of "Johnson" ? Perhaps, as has been previously reported, her grandmother (Arcada) was a Johnson ?? So, we are back to square one ?? Was Arcada a Johnson, a Dowdy or a Smith ? ... Or none of the above (wink). Looks like I need to make a trip to Houston County.
