Alas, this posting was one of my attempts to link Henry to Joseph. The only things really know for sure is that my Grandpa Parrent's father was Henry, his grandfather was named Joseph and his daughter is fairly sure that they came from Quebec to Minnesota to Montana. When I tried to question her about Genevieve or perhaps Jenni as her great-grandmother she was just not certain. You wrote: "Joseph Pelletier, (Joseph Marie Couturier) born August 1, 1820, St-Michel of Yamaska, Province of Quebec, married (his 2nd marriage)Geneviève Pelletier (Urbain and Marie Proulx), February 23, 1846 at St-Aimé-du-Richelieu" Did you mean to write Joseph Parrent/Parrent? Do you know where this Joseph or Genevieve died? I have tried to contact other people who have Joseph as Henry's father, but have not had responses. There is a lady I will be contacting this week, by phone and hopefully she will have some documentation. I am currently going through 1970 Minnnesota census page by page.I have found them listed as Parrente and even Carrent as well as Parrent/Parent. As you no doubt know the names are often terribly misspelled. Are you related? I'm not really, although I say my grandpa Parrent he was in fact my step grandpa, but he was my only grandpa. I am doing this genealogy as a gift for my half brother Michael Parrent. Thank you very much for responding and I will let you know if I find proof of anything.
