Thomas Park
Ruth,I am in the process of eliminating everyone who my husband CAN'T
be kin to in the hope that I might havea little clue as to who he
could have descended from.My main task right now is to find all SC
Park men listed with a male under 10 on 1820 census and also checking
1830, 40 census for male in the appropriate age for our Hugh Alexander
Park b 1818 SC.
What I want to ask you about is your Dr. Thomas Park.He is one of the
ones I have found in 1820Census forSC
with one male under ten..Is thischild your
Jeremiah? I don't havebreakdown for 1830-40 yet.
Are thesecorrectcensus lists foryour Thomas? All are SC
1800Darlington 116
1810Richland 169
1820Richland0901 maleunder 10(122101011)
1830Richland
1840Richlandshows no Thomas but Elizabeth (widow?) and Jeremiah in 456

If this is all yours, then I can eliminate him as potential kin.Do you
know the names of his other children? There are a couple of Park men
who are Doctors found in Greene Co. AL.Since our Hugh Alexander
appears in Pickens/Greene/Tuscaloosa Co. 1850 and after, I am checking
to see if he and his wife came with other Park people.I have little
faith that we will ever be able to pinpoint with proof--just curious to
find any clues. Thanks for answering this.Jeanne Park
