Just in time for Christmas!--Reduced DNA test prices till December 31, 2008

For anyone who has been considering DNA testing, Family Tree DNA (FTDNA), the testing firm used by the Park/e/s surname project, has announced reduced prices for some of their tests. These prices are in effect for tests ordered and paid for by December 31, 2008. Test kits do not have to be completed by that date, only ordered and paid for to qualify for the lower group rate. Tests must be ordered through a surname group to qualify for these prices.

The Y-DNA37 is, in my opinion, the most useful test for our purposes, though some may desire the mitochondrial test as well or testing at the 67 marker level—entirely up to the participant to choose which test they want.

Y-DNA37: $119 after Dec 31: $149
Y-DNA37+mtDNAPlus: $199 after Dec 31: $278
Y-DNA67: $218 after Dec 31: $248
Y-DNA67+mtDNAPlus: $308 after Dec 31: $377
mtDNAPlus: $139 after Dec 31: $149
Full Genomic mtDNA: $395 after Dec 31: $449
SuperDNA: $613 after Dec 31: $695

To order a test and join the Park/e/s DNA surname project, go to:

Click on the link on the left side of the homepage marked, “Request to join this group”

With reduced prices, a DNA test kit makes a great gift idea! If you have any questions or need help ordering, feel free to contact me. My email is on the top of the homepage of the Park/e/s DNA Surname Project.
