I'm afraid I can't help you much in recommending which port your Park's may have arrived in. Just through luck, I found an article about a relative of my Irish Park's which confirmed what I believed, they arrived in 1841 in NY. I think a lot of the mid-1800 Irish immigrants came to American by way of NY.

Almost all of my other ancestors so far seem to have been in VA since at least the mid-1600s and I have no idea how they arrived.

I suppose it might have depended on what/where you were leaving and what you were seeking when you arrived. A lot of persecuted English Catholics came to Maryland thru Baltimore, for example.
