Barbara, I am decended from Richard Call Parkhill, whose son was George Washington Parkhill, whose daughter was Elizabeth Ross Parkhill, whose daughter was Harriet Elizabeth Clarkson, whose daughter was Harriet Elizabeth Holmes. Richard married Emmala Bellamy. The Bellamy Family built the first road between St. Augustine and Tallahassee. They moved from the Jax-St Augustine area to live in the Monticello area, which is where Richard Call Parkhill moved. Richard and his cousin George W. Parkhill served in the Civil War together. George W. married a Emmala's sister. George W. was killed during the war at the Battle of Gaines Mill. Richard Call Parkhill was a planter in Monticello, Fl. after the war.
