Connections between Greenbrier WV and Winchester, VA
Posted by: Charles Parkins (ID *****2895) Date: December 15, 2010 at 15:49:59

Does anyone have information that would tie the Greenbrier, WV Parkins to the Winchester, VA Parkins. I am almost certain that there is a connection. Indications are that there was communications between the Greenbrier families and the Putnam County, WV families just before the Civil War as there was a migration from both locations to Gallia, Ohio just before the war. The Putnam County Parkins are a direct decendent of Isaac Parkins of Winchester, VA. Any help would be appreciated.
