"Parlee Farms" in Chelmsford, MA (one Tyngsboro, MA)

Hello. I have recently become more aware of the "PARLEE Farms" in Chelmsford ! (And there is one in Tyngsboro, MA, and they both grow "strawberries.")

Out of curiousity, I did a little investigating, and this PARLEE family seems to have arrived in the U.S. around 1890, and came down from "Canada / English" (NB, NS?), possibly originally arriving from IRELAND.

In 1900, there were at least 2 PARLEE families living in Chelmsford, MA, but they were living on the corner of Concord Road and Carlisle Road. This is in the southern part of the town, heading towards the border with Billerica and Carlisle ! I checked a map and currently it is Parlee Road off of Concord Road.

They seem to have remained in that neighborhood through 1920. But, it looks like they bought a large amount of land on Pine Hill Road around 1930 ! That is just west of Chelmsford Center, near Rt. 110 (Littleton Rd.) And, that is where the "Parlee Farms" are now ! Strawberries, gardens, and a garden center, etc. !

I just checked the archives of this Board, and did a search for "Chelmsford" and there was no posting about the family here !

Does that mean that no one is researching that family?
