I realize this follow-up 5 years late but did you find what you were looking for? I have some notes for James C. Allen (1832-1899) and Hannah Catherine Parlee (1841-1931). They were both born in New Brunswick but were married in Burford, Canada West in 1856. He's buried in Baysville, McLean Township, Ont. and she's buried in Englehart, Temiskaming, Ont. The ggggreat grandfather you are looking for is probably Thomas Allen, born 2 October 1798 and amrried to Lydia Haines. I'm a very distant cousin of hers.
