W. D. Parler: 26th Arkansas Infantry
Posted by: Mark Miller Date: February 22, 2000 at 15:23:39

I am researching a soldier who enlisted in the 26th Arkansas Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. He is:

W. D. Parler Co. G Pvt/Pvt
Enlisted 22 May 1862 at Lewisville, Lafayette County, Arkansas. Present through Feb 1864.
Age listed as 32 on 1860 Columbia County Census. Born in South Carolina.

I have no genealogical connection to this man but am writing a book on his regiment. Any help in learning his dates/places of birth, death, and burial would be greatly appreciated.
