I haven't tried to get documented for the
Mayflower Society, although my great-grandmother was a member.(Her maiden name was Bosworth, and one of her early ancestors married a Cushman, which is the line she had documented).I've contemplated doing so, perhaps one of these days.
My current genealogical project is the descendants of Jonathan Paddleford (b. abt. 1628 in Britain d. abt. 1661 in Cambridge, MA).He was an ancestor of mine, but I chose to do a complete genealogy of his male descendants (as well as the first generation of children of female descendants) because 1.) nobody had tried to do one since 1859 and 2.) the name is so unusual that it's easy to do (as opposed to say Jones, Smith or Williams).
Parlow is another line no one's really done.If I ever finish the Paddleford/Padelford family I might turn to the Parlows.Unfortunately, the records in Rochester, MA, all but vanish for most of the 1700s, so although I'm sure my Parlows are descended from Thomas & Elizabeth Gibbs, I have no idea quite how past David Parlow (b. abt. 1773 d. 1835), the earliest known in my direct line.I've been accumulating research on the Parlows hoping that I'll be able to deduce who David's father was, but so far I've been unsuccessful.
Thanks for your help!
