James Parman is the progenitor of the American Parmans. He arrived and first settled in Rosslyn, Augusta County, Virginia, on May 21, 1752. Below is a site that is the Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia.

I don't know anything about his wife, if you find anything please let me know. His son Giles Parman was born in 1758 in Northampton, Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth (I don't have a last name) in 1780 and she was born in 1760 and died in 1830. He then married Phebe.

I'm updating a Parman family history and would love to share information back and forth with you, maybe together we can get a more complete history.
