My information also comes from the book of "History of the Known Descendants of Giles Parman 1758" by Arlene Parman. My ggg-grandfather Joseph was the son of Giles Parman. Giles was married to Elizabeth first and then married Phoebe Woolsey a widow of Thomas Woolsey. Their son Joseph born 1792 married to Nancy Vantress and 2nd to Margaret "Peggy" McCowan. Their son Henry H Parman my gg-gfather born 1825 married 1st to Martha Ann Martin who died on the way to California from Missouri. In Modoc County, California he married Elender J. (READY) ALLEN, they had 9 children and their daughter Mary E. PARMAN b. 1859 married George H. MORGAN. Mary died and is burried in Eagleville Cemetery, Modoc, CA. SHe married George H. MORGAN, their only daughter Alpha E. MORGAN married Luther Frank PRIOR, Alpha is also buried at the Eagleville Cemetery. My father was the second child of Luther F. and Alpha E. MORGAN PRIOR. His name was Niles Ernest PRIOR. I am the only surviving child of Niles and Virgie B. PIRTLE PRIOR.
I have been to the Cemetery at Greeneville, GREENE, Tennessee where there are several of the PARMAN and WOOLSEY family are buried.
