Carlie, if you are still working on this family, I wonder if you might help me. Your "Parrett" name came up in connection with research I am doing for my Caldwell family. A family of six orphaned siblings came to the SW corner of Ross Co (not far from present day Greenfield, OH in Highland Co)from County Down, Ireland ca 1804. The middle son, James Caldwell, taught school and married Mary "Polly" Wilson (d/o James Wilson). James and Polly Caldwell's son, John G. Caldwell married Sarah Taylor and lived his life farming in Buckskin Twp of Ross Co. His son, Milton E. Caldwell was a minister and a missionary in Puerto Rico in the late 1890's, early 1900's. Now, to my question: I am having some difficulty in locating information about Milton's family but I have found a transcription of his burial information which I am including here:---Cemetery Inscriptions from South Salem Cemetery; Row 16: large stone with all following names: CALDWELL: Grace Parrett 1894-1977; Edward Milton 1893-1962; Edward M OH RM2 USNRF WWI Jul 9 1893-Sep 20 1962 GS; Susan Adams 1852 – 1926; Rev. Milton Etsil, D.D. 1849-1907; Mary Letitia 1890-1972; William Edgar, M.D. 1880-1943; Could you tell me if GRACE PARRETT CALDWELL 1894-1977 is a family member. If so, do you have any further information about her. I have been unable to find Grace and Edward M. Caldwell on a census. Thank you for your help. Pam Wagner Notify Administrator about this message?
