Carlie! I am really looking forward to getting to know another "cousin". I went to my first DAR meeting on Monday. Just a look-see to determine if my hair could be dyed just the "right" shade of purple. I was delightfully surprised to find 2 ladies who attend the same church as I do - no purple hair either! Coincidently, I discovered not long ago that my GG-Grandfather John L. Cailey (son of Eliza Parrett, daughter or Augustus Fredrick)was a founding member of the denomination! With the DAR, I am tagging on to my mother's line with all the documentation in place (the Danforth's) but plan on gathering the Parrett documentation too. Bible records are acceptable evidence -think they require copies of the pages. I believe that my father had the original 13 starred American Flag that belonged to Frederick Parrett. I remember it when I was a child. Dad gave it to my hometown libary/museum when he broke up the house (I lived in Alaska at the time); however, a cousin (Mothers side) is on the board and said I could get it back if I want it. Think I will. Do you live in Ross County? As soon as I figure out this photo-attachment thing, I will post photoes -family and dogwoods!
