Albert and Amanda McCoy Parrett were my grandparents. Albert was a minister in Altoona Ks at the Holiness Church from abt 1920 to his death in 1953. He had 15 children,Ruth,Delba,Wilmer,Thomas,James,Don,Clifford,Alma,Betty, Alice,Gladys,Melvin,Marvin,Hazel and Ester. I have grandfathers obit from the newspaper,also Albert and Amanda as well as several of their children are buried in the Altoona cemetery. Melvin (twin to Marvin) was killen in a car-train accident in Richmond Ks along with his brother in law.He is buried in Richmond Ks also. Ester and Gladys are buried in Kansas City. Hazel is buried in Oakland Ca. I believe most of the others except Delba are buried in Altoona. Delba is buried in Independece,Ks. I am working on the McCoy side now. I have all of the info on Albert. His parents were William and Julia Ott Parrett. Williams parents were Francis Marion Parrett and Rebecca Elizabeth Riley. Francis Marions parents were Oren and Eleanore (we think) and later Oren married Sally Cothran and then married Nancy White. And extra note Marvin now lives in Independence,Ks.There are very few of Albert and Amanda's children living. If you need more info please let me know.
