I'm looking for help with GRIFFITH PARRY b.abt 1781 and his family who were all born and lived for many years in the Holyhead Anglesey area. There seem to be about seven such named men in the area at that time!
The 1841 census has my Griffith Parry aged 60yrs-shoemaker, with wife Catherine (?second wife) 60yrs,and children Isaac @30yrs, Elizabeth @20yrs and Grace @19yrs. I have found their births/bapt in the pre-1837 Calvanistic methodist records and all are born between 1809 and 1821. I have also found other children who appear to be theirs, definately Griffith Parry (junior)b.1823, and most likely a Mary b.1809, another Mary 1812 and a John b.1815 (I do not know if they died or are on other census returns with their families or relations). I believe that Griffith Parry had a first wife called Ann Hughes and they had Ann Parry b.1806 in Holyhead, birth records seen. All the details match up even his occupation as Shoemaker.
Grace Parry married -----Humphreys and after having three children was widowed quite early on, pre 1851.
Does anyone have a Griffith Parry born abt 1778-1781 in Holyhead or very near by who was a shoemaker in Holyhead for years? Also I'd love some help with Ann Hughes who's parents are unknown-family tales say that either her father or Griffith himself or his father was a 'minister'. I'd love some help please.
Thanks and best wishes.
