Graham,
I thought that searching for Parry's that had glaucoma could bea link to finding some of my Parry family members in and around the Lackawanna County area. My Parry's were from England, not sure where in England. Came to US in 1835. I am sure there are alot of people with glaucoma and alot are probably not related. Seemed like a good idea at the time but haven't been able to connect to anyone this way yet.
I have a James Parry b. 1806 England who i think i mention in another post was nearly blind at age 94 and i assume it was glaucoma cause i have found several of his gg grandchildren with the disease and also a few ggg grandchildren with the start of it.
Maybe you will get lucky with one of the other researchers with this posting. I don't know if any siblings of James' cameto the US or stayed in England. Maybe one day. I haven't had any luck yet with locating him in England. Shoot i am having a hard time finding where he is buried here.
Good luck with your searches and maybe one day we can all connect.
