My maiden name is Parce and Parse is a variant spelling
that I have run across a lot. The name Parce came from the
surname Pearce which is actually Welsh but for all practical
purposes it can be called Anglo-Saxon. My forefathers came
here in the mid 1600's and have used Parce(Parse) off and on
as they saw fit to help identify them from other Pearce's.
The family came to a parting of the ways in the 1780's -
1790's when my ggg-grandather fell in love with a quaker girl which caused quite a rift in his Baptist family. So,
he dropped the first e and said that way any Parce's he ran
into would be blood relatives.
The people that Soosie mentioned in North Carolina and
Idaho are direct and indirect cousins(fourth cousins)
of mine and we all come from this gentleman. There is a
chance that you may be related. If you wish more information
please contact me. There are so many variant spellings of
the name that it is confusing.
