Have you learned more on this family. I am researching the name William Willis Pearce from Sussex Co., NJ and Orange Co., NY. There is a Jonathan Paers who had as a witness to his daughter Sarah's baptism and John Wallis, and later one finds the name "Wallace" as apparently a variant spelling of "Wallis". I am wondering if this family derived from the Willis family of Southhold Long Island, later NJ.
