The father of Felix (Phelix) Parse Jr. and William Wallace Parse was Felix Parse Sr. The brothers of Felix Parse Sr. were Dr. Isaac Hendrick Parse M.D. (my ggg grandfather), Melvin Parse (who married Martha Willott) and John Parse.
The parents of these men where Aaron Parse and Huldah Hendrick Parse. The name Hendrick repeats on successive lines. The parents of Aaron Parse were Melvin Parse and Hannah Badgley Parse. The parents of Melvin Parse were John and Marta Parse. The Parse family comes form Scotch Plains NJ. John & Marta had four sons, Philip, Michael, Melvin and Thomas. All fought in the Rev. War and all were Baptists. Of the four brothers, only the descendants of Melvin retained the name "Parse". This is a derivative of "Pierce" "Pearce" "Pearse" "Parce" or "Perce".
