If you go to any search engine and enter "Reignette Marsh" and "Scotch Plains NJ", you will be directed to a publication called "Scotch Plains - The Story of an Old Communtity" by Miss Reignette Marsh. The name "Parse" is mentioned in this book on pages 31, 38, 39, 40, 45, 51, 56, 75 and 76. I believe this book mentions a "Sarah Pearce" as the mother of John Parse. I have no other information about Parse/Pearce ancestors before this time. This would be, of course, a great find!
