Autosomal DNA match leads to William Cocke Partin m. Johanna Stith

I tested my autosomal DNA through FTDNA Family Finder. I am matched with two descendents of the Stith family. One of the Stiths, Johanna, married William Cocke Partin. Since I match Stith DNA, I can only have got it through the descendents of this Stith-Partin marriage (unless I find another 1600s Stith marriage in my tree).

My Parten is William Parten b. abt 1792, NC. He is first found in the 1838 school census for Maury Co., TN. Probably it was his father who got a Rev. War land grant in Middle TN. In 1850, William lives in Maury Co. with his wife Sarah Unknown and an 86yo woman named Judy Barnes. Sarah is too young to be a first wife. Judy is too old to be Sarah's mother even if she birthed a child at age 50. Therefore Sarah's maiden name may not be Barnes.

This William is often mistaken for Bannister Barnes because their children's names are so similar but they are not in the same area of TN.

There are many Barneses and Partens in Middle TN 1800-1840, but to date, none can be put together on paper with William Parten.

All I have is DNA proof that my William descends directly from William Cocke Partin. I'm seeking (1) best guesses about the direct male lineage that links William Cocke Partin w/ William Parten b. 1792 NC and went to Middle TN, and (2) any Parten (all sp) descendent who has taken an autosomal DNA test thru either FTDNA or 23andMe, or has uploaded raw DNA data to GEDmatch.com, including Y-DNA.

I'm posting this on the forums for all spellings. Thank you.
