Sanger Courier, Denton Co., TX
“Shocklee – Partlow Wedding
Sanger was the place of a happy wedding last Sunday at four pm when Mr. Alex Shocklee led to the alter Miss Myrtle Partlow, the ceremony being performed by Rev. G. F. Boyd at the Methodist parsonage. The wedding was somewhat of a surprise to the many friends of the young couple, only a few of them knew that it was to occur soon.
The bride is the daughter of W.E. Partlow and wife. She has lived in Sanger for several years and has won a great many friends among both the young and older people of the community.
The groom is a promising young business man, who, while he has only been here a short time, enjoys a most excellent reputation for honesty and integrity. His friends and well-wishers are practically limited by his acquaintance.
To the happy young couple the Courier would extend the sincerest congratulations, with the wish that their married life may be one continual round of happiness and prosperity. – Sanger Courier” Dated in writing 20 Nov 1904 end
