I've done a bit of digging in the Partridge tree and think I can shed some light on the family.

I have Thomas Partrich (b.1504?) and Elizabeth Sibbell (b.1508?), daughter of John Sibbell, at the head of this tree. However, I have not been able to verify this information yet--still looking into it. I do know that they had a son, William Partrich, who later became a member of the House of Commons. William is said to be their first son. Was Rev. Thomas (1555-1605) his brother or maybe a older half-brother? If anyone finds any records, I'd like to hear about it. Thomas also had a sister named Elizabeth. Again, not sure about her parents either.

So, possible family at this point:

Thomas Partrich and Elizabeth Sibbell:
1. William Partrich, House of Commons
2. Rev. Thomas Partrich (1555-1605)
3. Elizabeth Partrich

2. Rev. Thomas (1555-1605) graduated from Oxford in January 1570-1, was vicar in Sutton Valence (until 1581), Lenham (1581-1586), and Wichling until his death. I've seen the names Patience and Joane associated with him as his wife or wives, but nothing substantial in that regard. Again, would love to see something concrete.

I have not seen documentation for his children, but from fairly reliable sources, it has been shown that Ralph (Rodulphus) Partrich was christened in Sutton Valence on 12 April 1579, the son of Rev. Thomas Partrich. Seems pretty solid at this point. In addition, from the will of Gervase Partrich, a cordwainer and citizen of London, it can be established that Gervase was the brother of Ralph. They also had two other brothers, Randolph and James, and a sister, Elizabeth. From these documents, I've pieced together the following family.

Thomas Partrich and Elizabeth Sibbell:
...2. Rev. Thomas Partrich (1555-1605)
......4. Gervase Partrich (c.1577-1647), m. Katherine
.........9. Robert Partrich
.........10. Elizabeth Partrich
......5. Rev. Rodulphus "Ralph" Partrich (1579-1658), m. Patience (c.1615)
.........11. Mary Partrich (b. about 1617)
.........12. Elizabeth Partrich (1621-1664)
......6. Randolph Partrich (b. about 1593)
.........13. Mary Partrich (b. about 1616)
.........14. James Partrich
.........15. John Partrich
.........16. Samuel Partrich
......7. Elizabeth Partrich (b. about 1595), m. David Fidge
.........17. James Fidge
.........18. Jeremy Fidge
.........19. Mary Fidge
......8. James Partrich (c.1597-before 1647)
.........20. James Partrich

5. Rev. Rodulphus ("Ralph") Partrich was born in April 1579, baptized on 12 April in Sutton Valence, the son of Rev. Thomas Partrich. He became a student at Cambridge around 1595 and graduated from Trinity College in 1599/1600 with an A.B. and a A.M. in 1603. He married in 1615 and served as the rector of Sutton by Dover from 1610 to 1625. He faced trouble under the leadership of Archbishop Laud and eventually sought refuge in New England.

He endured a tumultuous six-month voyage on the same ship with Rev. Nathaniel Rogers in 1636 and arrived in New England 17 November. He soon thereafter became the pastor of the church in Duxbury. It was in this time that the name "Partrich" started appearing as "Partridge."

All we know of his children is that he had two daughters, Mary and Elizabeth. Mary was wed to John Marshall in England, who was said to be of Leneham, Kent in the will of Ralph’s older brother Gervase. Elizabeth married Rev. Thomas Thacher in 1643 and received all of her father’s land property in England and Massachusetts. After her death these were passed to Rev. Ralph Thacher, the pastor of the church in Martha’s Vineyard. There was also a certain George Partridge who purchased land in Duxbury in 1639, married Sarah Tracy, and was thus supposed to be the son of Rev. Partridge. It was later demonstrated that this was not the case. George’s origins are unknown, but he was probably a cousin to Ralph (Elizabeth later deeded part of her property to George). I don't know that he was the son of James, but this may be. I'd like to see the documentation if you have it available. However, George’s daughter, Ruth, married Elizabeth Partridge’s son, Rev. Ralph Partridge. Related or not, the Partridge families knew one another and eventually formed a pair in the Partridge tree.

So again from the top:

Thomas Partrich and Elizabeth Sibbell:
...2. Rev. Thomas Partrich (1555-1605)
......5. Rev. Rodulphus "Ralph" Partrich/Partridge (1579-1658), m. Patience (c.1615)
.........11. Mary Partrich (b. about 1617), m. John Marshall
.............21. John Marshall
.............22. Robert Marshall
.........12. Elizabeth Partrich/Partridge (1621-1664)
..........m. (1) William Kemp (1617-1641)
.............23. Patience Kemp (1642-1676), m. Thomas Seabury, M.D.
..........m. (2) Rev. Thomas Thacher (1620-1678)
.............24. Thomas Thacher (1645-1686), m. Mary Salvage
.................28. Rev. Peter Thacher
.............25. Rev. Rhodolphus "Ralph" Thacher (1649-1733), m. Ruth Partridge, daughter of George Partridge and Sarah Tracy
.............26. Rev. Peter Thacher (1651-1727)
..........m. (1) Theodora Oxenbridge (1659-1697)
.................29. Theodora Thacher (b.1679)
.................30. Bathsheba Thacher (1680-1680)
.................31. Oxenbridge Thacher (1681-1772)
.................32. Elizabeth Thacher (1683-1716), m. Rev. Samuel Niles - thus joining my paternal ancestors
.................33. Mary Thacher (1685-1685)
.................34. Thomas Thacher (1686-1687)
.................35. Peter Thacher (1688-1744)
.................36. John Thacher (1691-1692)
.................37. Thomas Thacher (1693-1721)
..........m. (2) Susannah Wilkins (1665-1724), widow of John Bailey
.................29. John Thacher (1701-1701)
..........m. (3) Elizabeth (b.1667), widow of Rev. Jonathan Gee

Hope that helps. In summary, the unverified (unsubstantiated?) information that I would like to see:

1) Documentation for Rev. Thomas Partrich birth to Thomas Partrich and Elizabeth Sibbell.
2) Who did Rev. Thomas Partrich marry? Patience (sounds suspicious)? Joane? neither?
3) Verification of Rev. Ralph Partrich christening on 12 April 1579.
4) Documentation for cousin(?) George. Was he the son of James, the son of James, the son of Rev. Thomas

These are the four puzzles I'm still not sure about.
