John W. Pass

I am seeking any information on John W. Pass born between 1834 and 1836 in Pennsylvania (possibly Mercersburg) or Maryland. He married Margaret Byers on June 14, 1855 in Pennsylvania (also believed to be in Mercersberg). I believe they had 12 children: Margaret, Alice, Laura, Blanche, John, and Jennie, born in Pennsylvania, and Harriet (Hattie), Carrie, Jacob, Margaret, Winnifred, and Wesley, born in Illinois. I would very much like to find out who John's parents were. I am led to believe from family stories that he is related to the John Pass who fixed the crack in the Liberty bell. Any information on John or his children would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share what information I have. Thanks in advance for any information or ideas given.
