Thanks for the reply. According to my data William Frazer Passmore lived in Ashe (Now Allegheny) County NC prior to moving to Haywood now Macon County NC. He is listed living with his granddaughter Mary Ann Passmore , Sweetwater comunity of Cherokee (Now Clay )County, NC. I do not have confirmation data that Thomas is William Frazer's father. It is surpising to me that Willaim did not use the name Thomas for his first male children. William Frazer served in the Revolutionary war. This family were miners and moved to several cites in WNC and North GA. During the Civil War the Passmore's living Cashiers NC would hide their milk cows and animals in mountain caves to keep the Yanks and freelance militia from finding them.
