I suggest getting James' death certificate from the PA Dept of Health. It should have the parents listed. His obituary should help too and he should have had a good obit since he was a long time hotel owner. Check with the Centre County Library & Historical Museum and the Centre County Genealogical Society to see if they can help you.

Janet is buried in the Phillipsburg Cemetery. I would imagine James is buried there too. An exact date of death will help in getting the obit and death certificate.

I'm curious as to which census you found him in that lists his birth as Newton Abbot, Devon.
