Thanks for your answer. You confirm what I was concluding, about a Passmore-Peeples marital tie & Pike Co's place in the Peeples history.

By the names you list and your reference to a white man, I gather that you're African-American. I'm as white as the driven snow, but I have no problem with the possibility that I might have kin from other origins. Indeed, I've been working on a suspicion of my father and his brother, that Grandma Lynnie in her genealogy work "hid" the fact that we had some Native American ancestors! This struck me as uncharacteristic of my late grandmother; she provided after-school care for me and taught me to be shun racism and racial slurs. But so far I've not come up with anything definite that any of my ancestral lines go native -- LOL.

Anyways, since there might be an ancestral connection of some sort between the two of us, I say, "Howdy. Cuz!"
