I have seen on microfilm that a Dr. James Pasteur of this city (Raleigh, NC) M. on the 17th ult...Miss Sheppard, dau of the late Colonel James Sheppard of Glascow (sic) (later it was renamed Greene) County, (NC). This was listed in the Raleigh Register, Tuesday, 3 Dec 1799. 3:5.

Also listed in the NCM, Tuesday, Dec 1799 3:2....James Pasteur to Miss P. G. Sheppard.

Would like to chat with anyone who knows about this Dr. James Pasteur in 1799 in NC (so he would have been b at least by 1778...age 21. I need more information, Col James was NOT deceased by 1799. He lived until 1819. He had a son that was married to a Pherby Sheppard but he also was not deced by 1799. So this newspaper account is a puzzle. If I knew where the couple went, I might be able to solve the problem with SHEPPARD's.

Thanks, in advance, for any assistance.
