Pastir Family Search

My name is Paul Joseph Pastir,I am 45 years old and born in Detroit MI.
My father was Andrew John Pastir(also born in Detroit MI),the only child of Andrew Henry Pastir(nickname "Hodge")and Anna Creevy(Krivie)
Hodge was born around 1895 in Aus-Hun-Slovakia
Hodge lived in Bridgeport CT. and later after he married Anna, moved to Detroit
Hodge had a brother Michael, who stayed in CT and owned butcher shop
Hodge had 2 sisters, Josephine and Mary.

One married a Wasco the other married Joseph Adzima(who owned a funeral home in CT).
Michael Pastir had one daughter ,Mami, who married (Maernik ? )and took over the butcher
shop
Mary (Dolinski)Pastir was Hodge and Michael
mother. She lived in Bridgeport CT.
I have just begun a family search and find the name Pastir,Pastor,Paster,Pasternik, ect
could all be the same family roots because
when they entered this country immigration went by how it sounded or abbr names ect.
I have just started getting letters back from a mailing I did to Pastir families in PA.,ND.,MN.and none of us knew the other existed. MN has a large Slovak pop in the northern part.
If you have any information to help me,or if
I can help you, please feel free to contact me
