Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Heather,

My family and yours came to America over 350 years ago and settled in the Quebec City area. My branch moved south during and after the Revolutionary War. Away from British controlled Canada, to Northern New York State (Adirondak Mt area) & lived for a time in Eden, Vermont. My Grandmother Elizabeth Patnode moved to Rochester, NY & I live south of Rochester now.
Visit Kelly Townsend's site she has a load of information on the Patenaudes, the various name spellings & more. The site address is: www.meltingpot.fortunecity.com/virginia/670/index.htm
